On their self-titled debut album, Shrew digs deep into their late '60s and early '70s influences, but with a gnarlier, heavier edge. Recorded and produced between October 2023 and July 2024 by the legendary Justin Phelps at Hallowed Halls Studio—and mastered by Alan Douches in August 2024—it’s a dive into escapism, mental battles, and the chaos of toxic relationships.

"The songs explore the desire to run away from a hard-to-face reality by overworking, partying, or fantasizing about fairy tale endings—but also how, in the end, we can triumph over these feelings and situations."
